String Camp
When is String Camp?
String Camp will be held June 24-28, 2024, from 9 am - noon each day. Students will present a concert on June 28 from noon - 1:00 pm in PHAME
Who Can Attend?
Students who, as of Fall 2024, are in the 5th-9th grade and who play violin, viola, cello, or string bass.
How Much Does it Cost?
To cover music, coaching, facility, and water/snacks, we ask each student pay a $40 attendance fee.
What will the camp consist of?
Camp will include clinics, learning new and fun music, doing fun icebreaker activities, and preparing for a concert at the end of the week!
Your child will learn from PHHS Orchestra students, coaches, and Mr. Kalal, our music director, while learning more about playing a string instrument in a fun and welcoming environment.
What does my child need to bring?
Instrument and accessories (rock stop, rosin, extra strings, etc.)
Pencil
LABELED Reusable water bottle (Water for refilling will be provided)
Comfortable shoes
If you do not have your own instrument, there are limited quantities available for borrowing for the duration of the camp. Please indicate on your registration form if you wish to borrow a school instrument.
